About Loft Labs

We are a venture-backed tech startup with headquarters in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower) but our team is distributed across 8 timezones and we have a remote-first work culture - and not just because of Covid.

Our commercial product is called Loft (www.loft.sh) and brings all our open-source projects together in one platform which enables high-velocity engineering teams to move faster when building cloud-native software. Most of our customers are startup unicorns and Fortune 500 companies.

 

Your Tasks

We are looking for a highly-motivated sales talent with previous experience as sales representative or business development representatitive, who is now ready to take on a leadership position in our fast-growing tech startup. In this role, you will:

  • Build relationships with enterprise leads from prospecting and first touch all the way to closing the deal
  • Own our startup's sales goals to ensure we meet our targets every quarter and continue to grow as planned
  • Manage our sales funnel end-to-end, including driving pipeline growth, automating outreach and optimizing time-to-close
  • Lead our efforts to add an outbound motion to complement our existing inbound strategy
  • Collaborate with our marketing and design team to extend and refine our sales collateral and lead gen materials
  • Play a crucial role in defining and implementing sales forecasting, opportunity management and sales analytics
  • Work closely with the founder team to transition from founder-led sales to building out a sales team
  • Lead the creation of repeatable sales processes to build a revenue-machine driven by a highly efficient sales team

 

Requirements

You are the right candidate for this opportunity if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Experience in prospecting for and selling to IT and engineering teams: platform engineers, engineering managers and IT decision makers
  • Determination to hit and exceed your quotas to drive our sales numbers (and your compensation) through the roof
  • Experience in closing customers in a land-and-expand motion with an average initial ACV of $30-60k volume and 5-10x expansion potential
  • Experience interacting with enterprise buyers (Fortune 500) and post series B tech startups
  • Form understanding of the classical enterprise procurement processes (order forms, POs, SLAs, license agreements)
  • Conceptual and architectural understanding of microservices, containers, and Kubernetes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that is constantly evolving as our startup grows
  • A team player mindset that will help you and your colleagues to stay connected and keep everyone in the loop while being remote
  • Preferably: Knowledge of relevant technologies in the cloud-native ecosystem including CNCF projects, cloud-native developer tools, Kubernetes platforms
